Wrinkled comp book swap...what I received from Tshreve!

Hello,
Thought I'd come on here tonight and show a really neat comp.
book that I received today from my partner at CMB website.
She used some beautiful pastels (which I love)
She had two pockets and a darling little heart closure.
Love the lace and pearls and flower as well.
Thankyou so much Theresa,
I love it! Here are the pics in natural order.

What was inside the box?

I lined the inside of my box with gold satin and then
used a real vintage hankie with a brooch
with a crystal on it, to that I attached my
chunky charm and then I also made 3 stick pins
and added them to the top. Inside I had three handmade tags
as well as 3 handmade flowers, a TH butterfly and some bling.
I added a real Brittish gold stamp as well to the back, along with
ribbon and lace trim.

middle tag had real ivory vintage button
from my mother's button bag.

Thanks for stopping by!

The rest of the swap box I made for CMB swap

Now that my partner,Jeri, has received her box I will post the rest
of my pics. This is the top of the box. I used a Norman Rockwell image
and my paper was from Bo Bunny. TH die for butterfly the row of flowers were
primas as well as the one in rt rear corner and small black satin roses on left side. I used gold smooch on the black box to give it the golden look.
Then used spray polyurethane to cover that.
I also used a TH metal tag that says altered on the front.
My partner said she LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE's it! LOL

Goodies I received today from ss swap at SSC

I have a Canadian fairy for this swap but don't yet know who
she is. This is a 3 mos secret sister swap and she has been spoiling me.
She sent me all these goodies today.
Thanks so much ss!

And here is her sweet card!

Here is the sneak peek I gave blynborn of her box

This was my first box to alter. I started with a black
wooden cigar box and went from there. She wanted
black and white and gold colors. I am pleased with
how it turned out. I hope she likes it!
She should be receiving hers any day now as well.

Beautiful Graphic 45papered box from CMB swap

Hi again,
Today when I got home from PO to drop off 3 of my swaps,
I came home to find 2 great packages waiting for me.

The 1st was from bklynborn/Jeri of the CMB site and it is
beautiful. This is one of my fav papers and I have been drooling
over everyone else's box with this paper for awhile.
She also filled it with a ton of goodies, a beautiful tag, a metalic board
with magnets, 6 stick pins and more....
Thankyou so much Jeri for this amazing box and stash!

Altered address book

This technique was something I found on youtube bu ILuvvintageScrap's channel. Wrinkled altered comp book  I thought her books were gorgeous so
I have been playing with this. The first one I made was for the handmade swap
on CMB for Cindy Anderson. She wanted an address book so I adapted the tech-que for that. I used TH paper and glim misted some prima white flowers and added embellies, then applied the friends bling. Inside I used brown with the pocket in the same blue TH paper as on the front.  Made a matching tag as well for inside the pocket.I also sewed lace and eyelit around it and made a cute matching clip on the edge. Cindy said she loved it!
Thanks for stopping by.

Inside

My 2nd wrinkled altered book was a comp book that I did for practice before
hosting a swap myself on this technique. My first time as hostess! WooHoo!
I gave this one to my daughter as a Mother's Day gift and she said she loved it.

Finally I will share the sneak peek I gave my partner on my swap.
I made this for Tshreve on the CMB. She is an elagant lady with a bit
of quirky sometimes thrown into her crafts. She is a "master crafter"
according to her husband and I agree. She plans to use this notebook
to keep track of her swaps so I wanted it to match her scrap room.
She said her colors were black white and burgandy.
I don't want to ruin her surprsie so
that's all I'll show for now.

Card I made for a Women's Cursillo retreat

A Day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel...
so true!
This is the card I designed and made for my husband's retreat weekend.
He is a Catholic deacon and was ast spiritual director on Cursillo 278 recently
I made this for the whole group to enjoy.

Mother's Day Paint can swap

Hello,
I thought today maybe I'd share both the paint can I made and the one
I received from my partner Cherrie Clement in a paint can swap at the CMB.
I was very excited to share both with you. This was the first one I have ever made so I was very happy with how it turned out.
It's funny because we picked very similar paper and colors except mine
had more pink and hers had more green. I think they are both gorgeous!
So I'll start with mine.

After making it, I stuffed it with some of her wishes, some handmade lollipops and suede tags etc. We opened them together via the phone and had a wonderful time together. She also got some very special news that day!

Now I'll show you the beautiful can she made me filled with all kinds of goodies.

Thank you so much,Cherrie, and congrats on the upcoming grandchild...
wooo hooo!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paint stick swap

Hello friends,
This is my first post on my brand new blog.
I thought I'd show you my altered paint sticks
I made for a swap on the CMB.
We had to decorate both sides of our sticks.
I chose the theme family/home sweet home
for mine. I used a vintagey style with mostly
neutral colors. I stamped the words Home Sweet
Home and the house image with Crafty Secrets
Stamp set. I applied lace, ribbons, pearls and of
course vinatge paper. I glim misted my white flowers
with Tattered angels suede glimmer mist and also
some yellow cosmic shimmer mist. I also made and
embellished a TH die butterfly for each stick.
I am happy with the way they turned out.
Thanks for stopping by.
