A wreath and an altered K

Just sharing a couple more projects tonight of a wreath and an altered K I made for my friend Kelley.
I also made her a fall banner but it seems I can't find my pics of that....oh well this will be enough. :)
My friend Kel likes black white and orangeand grunge or steampunk styles, gears etc...
and brown and red and script paper so here's what I came up with for her.

Glitzy altered purse

I am working on this Glitsy altered purse for the sept Maggie swap on the cricut message board.
I'm not going to go into all the details but wanted to show it to you while I was updating my blog.
I am finished with the purse but now I have to work on some goodies to go inside.
Shhhh don't tell Jessica....LOL

Altered Jesus Frame

This is an altered frame I made for a young friend who was going thru some tough times.
I started with an old frame I got at a resale shop then after removing some wood etc I began my work. I just
love this image of Jesus carrying the lady, I feel as if many days it is me he is carrying, especially this past week as my dear husband and I have just learned that he has cancer again. We thought he had beat it as he had been cancer free for 6 years now. But we are trusting Jesus to carry us both thru this difficult time.
I also added the serenity prayer as it is something to cling to when life gets crazy.
Janda like my gift, I hope you do too?
Kathy

My items made for Tammy

Now I will show you what I made for Tammy in our private swap. This is a little comp book made with the Magnolia reaching for the stars stamp, iamroses flowers, my cricut, say it in pearls bling, lace and Once upon a Time cardstock. She and I have similar tastes so it was easy for me to make her this pink and white notebook. She said she loves it and is using it already.

 Tag for inside

Next is the altered trunk box. I used paper from the Now and Then collection I got at HL. I used laces, satin ribbon and mini bloomers flowers as trims. I also added some iamroses flowers to this and a but of pink beading and a flourish.

Inside

Next I made her this dress from banner using the TH dress form die.

Finally I made her this little shadow box as a suprise to her. I think it turned out soft and sweet.

Hope you enjoyed this visit, please let me know what you think of my crafts.
Kathy

Tammy's beautiful creations

I had a private swap with a sweet lady named Tammy, despite her health problems and the loss of her Grandma during this time she made me some gorgeous crafts. Let me share them with you.
Tammy had a machine embroidery buisness and makes the most amazing things with her talent and
machine. She made me this gorgeous pillow with Jesus carrying his cross and one of my fav bible verses on it. The colors match my living room too so it looks perfect.

I should have put this picture first because it has the whole swap
from her in it...just look at all these amazing crafts. We also shared a few things from our stash with
each other.

The purple shirt in the background was a custom made shirt for me to wear to my Red Hat
Ladies get together's. I just love it!
And she suprised me with this amazing birthday banner also, made with a Silhoutte Cameo machine and Our Ladies diary paper. Then she threw in some matching paper she found.
Next she made me 2 fairy trays and a little fairy journal, a pouch for keeping computer discs into and a sweet white cross. I love it all. Thankyou Tammy for an amazing swap.

I will end by showing a closeup of one of the letters on the banner and a pic of myself proudly wearing the shirt she embroidered for me.

A couple of wedding cards

I have been showing some of my wedding crafts for my dd's wedding but I also have 2 nephews who are also getting married soon. So I decided it was time to get a couple more wedding cards made.
For this first one I used my cricut and cut the bride and groom and words. For the second I also used
my cricut for the words.  I don't have time today to tell you too much about how I made these but most of
you can figure that out I suspect. I also made thehandmade flowers on here and thought they looked perfect
on thse projects. I am not showing the inside of the 2nd card because I had already written my message inside.

After the ribbon band is removed you can see the top of the wedding dress better

We can't forget the groom now can we?

And since this is a trifold card here is the bottom half, I got this cute little twinchie from futura at the CMB in a swap and thought it was the perfect final touch for this card

The message says Two hearts that beat as one.

Here's my other card for my nephew's wedding

If any of you know my daughter then shhhhhh, cause the first one will be for her and Patrick

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to follow me. Kathy

I have a couple more projects to share with you today

First I will share some bead and flower sprays I just finished this morning. I have joined a new website recently called minalbumscraps and for my first swap there I decided to join a flower and bead spray swap. I have made a few ofthese before and they lool really gorgeous on projects. It can save you some $$$$ also when you learn to make your own and you can make it just to suit your project. But it's always fun to see what others do as well with something like this. We were to make 5 sprays with at least 3 flowers with a minimum diameter of 1/2 inch -1 inch and at least 3 nice beads.

Here's what I came up with

The whole group, bagged and ready to send

Actually this swap is still open if anyone else wants to try it. ;0)

My first all metal project

I made this altered "C" for my swap partner Cindy. I decided to try doing something mostly/all metal.
The trickier part of this was getting the metals to attatch and I finally had success doing that
with Glossy accents. I cut the embellies with my big kick from cut aluminum cans and various dies including the TH tattered florals die, a on the edge distressed doily die. and my smaller bird cage die (TH) I also used a flourish I got from
Kaui Melody in another swap and altered the flower part a little. I have found that the adirondak salmon color alcohol ink makes the aluminum look coppery and I like the effect I get. I then used some flousihes
(also attatched with glossy accents) and copper stckles. I really like the look of this an my partner also said she loved it, hope you will too. Thanks for stopping by, Kathy

Wedding Bells are Ringing

Hello Blogger Friends,
I just finished a wedding box for my daughters wedding this July and so I decided that today is
the day to share what I have been doing so far for this weddding. I have made centerpiece table
numbers for the reception as well as a special one for the head table and for the families tables as
well. I also made some lollipops in wedding colors and attatched them to flip flops for the attendants
to wear at the reception. I still have a fewmore flip flops to make and so I haven't taken pics of those.
Maybe I will when I finish the last ones, we'll see.
Okay so on to the wedding box. I bought the base box at HL and then began my altering. I found this awesome trim at HL in their upholstery dept. I love the shabby look of it and it also has glass prisms
that are hard to see in the pics. Then I used some love doves, prima flower, curly edged pink roses, and little
blue roses as well. I added a bead spray and some glittery netting ( websters pages) and an organza bow. I am really happy with the way this turned out. Hope you like it too.

Finally a few pics with the gkids dyeing their eggs

I bought a glitter egg kit and also added a little extra glitter I had. We dyed the eggs, glittered them and
later even added cute little bands around some of them with bunnies, chicks and crosses. All is all
this was an amazing day for me and the kids. Oh feel free to ohh and ahh about my cute grandkids too.

Easter Magnolia Banner

I kept wanting an Easter banner but none of my swap partners made me one so
I decdied to take it into my own hands and made this adorable Mgnolia Tilda banner.
I heat embossed  each white traingle with the same stamp but different MS pastels and then
coordinated my flowers and Tldas with the same colors. All of this was added to
a lengh of amazing white lace and edged with green and pink transparent ribbon.
Hope you like it as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by

a little Easter fun with the grandkids as well.

This first is a tag received from Kauia Melody at the CMB
in the Easter Swap, her talent amazes me!

Here are my altered paper Easter Bags, made for my grandchildren they aren't super
fancy but I think theyturned out cute. And they enjoyed all the goodies inside too!
