My Summer/Beach Charm
Hello welcome to my blog,
For the theme of summer I am sharing a little charm I made
for a swap at the CMB. We were to make a chunky charm with a TH swivel clasp and at least 3 summer/seashore/beach type charms to make 10 dangles total.
This was to be nicely presented on a card. For my card I used the Magnolia
stamp Mermaid Tilda, also some cute little 3D fish embellies at the bottom.
I used Divine swirls embossing folder and some quirky
tan yarn that kinda reminded me of seaweed. LOL Hope you like what I made.
Feel free to look back thru my other projects while you are here as well.
Thanks for stopping,
Kathy

New Th dress form tag swap
Hello crafters,
Today I thought I'd share some of the tags I am making for the dress form tag swap. This round I signed up for 4 categories; Vintage Ladies, Fall/Thanksgiving,
Belle of the Ball and Designers Choice. I have finished 3 sets so far and I think
my final one will probably be the angel tag I previously posted. So here are the
other three tags. For this one I used the dress form from the Nifty Fifties cart. There are 3 kinds of lace, ribbon, mini bloomers, pearls, and paper on it besides the emboss work and tea stain.
Vintage Ladies
Here is the full set
The next category is Fall/ Autumn
I had some small peices of tan suede and used them to make my Indian dresses I also got the tiny beads in a little tin box at a garage sale and thought they were perfect for an Indian necklace and beadwork on the dress, they are not all exactly alike but very similar. Behind the dress I have a little trukey cut from the Thanksgiving cart.

Finally I have the Belle of the Ball tag. This is my favorite of these three
I am really happy with the way this turned out. I also just loved this paper
which was in the Happily Ever After 12 by 12 paper stack. The little roses are from Recollections . On this and the fall one I used the TH dress form die and tag.

My new piece of garage sale craft furniture
Hi Ladies,
Well last weekend I stopped by a garage sale and saw this Baker's rack
it was later in the day so they had marked it down from $45 to $30 so
I decided to get it and use it in my crafting space. It was getting really
bad here with things piled high and on the floor so even though my
dining room is still crowded it's allot neater than it was and I can reach
most of my stuff pretty easily. Let me know what you think of it.
Thanks for stopping by
Kathy
Here's the whole space I have to work in.
When I mentioned to the lady at the sale that I was going to use ot for my crafts
she said she was a crafter too and she wished she'd thought to use it for that! LOL But she sold it to me anyway...

Th dress form tag video
I wanted to share this darling video that JanaZ made with
all the TH dress form tags on it. Thanks Jana and everyone
who made these adorable dress forms.

Last week I made my little granddaughter an outfit
I started with this:
and ended up with this:
you can see that her little brother wanted in on the action...LOL
and here she is with the shirt tucked in (looks better that way)
although the smile looks somewhat pained.
I added lace and seam binding, curly ribbons, and bloomers to the shirt.
For the skirt I just used one of her old ones as a basic pattern.
Thanks for stopping by!
A little teaser
I decided to try a small swap at a new website lately. It's called
"Life on the (scrap) Beach" website. I signed up for a 1 litre bottle
swap for vintagey items...can't tell you what is in it cause that would
ruin the suprise for my partner Pamela, but she can expect to get
this in her mailbox before long.

Home made swap
For this swap we were to make 4 handmade items with the same color scheme and they had to be small enough to fit into a small box or a 9 X 11 envie.
My partner likes the blue/brown combination and I like it too, so that is what I chose for her.
Since this was a secret sister swap, I won't say who is going to get these items
but one some lucky lady at the CMB will be getting there in her mailbox very soon. Thanks for looking and come back often! Feel free to leave a comment also.

I made an adorable mini mini paint can, 5 handmade vintage lollipop flowers,
a mini comp book, and 5 stick pins on a cute flower tag.
The stamp I used on the tag was from "Crafty Secrets and is called
"A couple of cuties"
My paper for the tag and comp book was from Bo Bunny's Grabriele collection
I used tinycream bloomer flowers along the edge of the comp book and
Recollections tiny roses on the paint can, alaso a Prima
rose that I misted with my cosmic Glimmer mist.
Here's a closeup of the paint can
so tiny and cute!

Sisters of the travelling shoebox
The hostess gives a different word or phrase each day for a total of 20 days
and each person has to either buy something from their partner's wish list to
go with that word or else make them something nice handmade to go with it.
It was pretty intense for me and I personally found it kinda hard to wait for
the words ( I usually order for partners within a day or two of joining a swap)
But in the end it was fun creating and ordering things for her. My partner is Happy Kimmie and here is what she received in the mail yesterday. She loves pink and is also into fishing so her first item was an altered pink tacklebox with handmade leopard print pink lollipop flowers, bling and trims. Also made cute little gone fishing tag. I'd say she got her "something pink", wouldn't you? LOL

Next was a project called canvas art
I used beeswax to cover the main paper elements
and Mod Podge to attach it first to my graphic 45 paper.
I also used a TH frame and my graphic 45 once upon a springtime stamps for matching tag. I embellished with pearls and lace and handmade vintage lollipop flowers and a lace flower and some sage satin ribbon.
I loved the way this turned out!
I made this beeswax canvas artpiece for her after watching this tutorial from Katie's rose blog.
Another project was for the Americana theme. For this one I made her
a handmade purse with another handmade lollipop on outside and cute big pockets both inside and out. I also made a matching th dress form tag to go with it.
Another day the theme was stick it to them ( or something like that)
so I made this cute little card with stick pins in it for her.
with cute "gone fishing tag"
I made this TH dress form tag for tattered angels day and
she got it along with three bottles of tattered angels glim mist.
I will be posting more pics later but that's all for now.
Thanks for dropping by.
