Hello friends,
Just thought I'd share this simple little prayer buddy card
I made for my recent retreat.
I got this stamp set from Tiffany at the CMB and it is
from Our Daily Bread website. I love it, and this is my first
card made with it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy, Holy Thanksgiving!

Christmas matchbox I made

We were to make a matchbox, flowers, charm and stick pins
plus give them some gifts from a wishlist for about $10.
Here is my matchbox:

plus give them some gifts from a wishlist for about $10.
Here is my matchbox:
I loved this sweet image of the children with santa.
I added some bakers twine and pointsettas from iamroses.
I also added some glaze to them to tone down the bright red a bit.
Next I used two trims on the sides, an eyelit and a gorgeous
little rose flower ribbon trim in organza. I inked the trims with tea dye
to make them more vinatgey.
Next I added 5 wooden spools; 4 for legs and one for a drawer pull.
I left them in their natural color. I also used a cute little bottle cap
made by Kelley Rooks on one end and also used 2 more on my charm.
I made these flowers with the TH tattered florals die and some
cotton and netting and embellies.
Here is a pic of the whole swap
This all went to a lady named GrammaP and she said she loved it all! Thanks for stopping by........Kathy

She also gifted me with the same Prima paper pack, TH black soot
ink, and some halfback pearls. What a sweatheart!
Thankyou so much Kelley, I just love it all!

Tags made for Christmas tag swap on the CMB
Hello Ladies,
I made these 8 tags, 4 apiece, for scrappingwen and buggyforcricut
We were to make a snowman tag, Christmas tag, angel tag and New Years
tag.
My partners had different tastes so I made some of their tags different.
Buggyforcricut likes bright colors like red and pink while Gwen wanted
a more vinatgey brick red, vintage santa look. She doesn't like pink.
So here's what I came up with.
For buggyforcricut
Tag 2
Side 2
Side 2
Finally here's Gwen's 2 other tags with her preferences,
she wanted a vintage santa and here's also her snowman sans the pink.
and the other side of her snowman......

Altered box for girlfriend's birthday suprise!
Hello friends,
I have been a crafting ninja lately but haven't had time to share
too many of the projects here so I am sharing this box I made recently
I started with acrylic paints..layer on layer until I got the colors/look I liked
then I added embossed snowflake paper on outside with Modge Podge.
I then also used acrylics over the embossing. After that I modgepodged
again. Finally I used a sparkle varish spray over that with gold flecks
for pizazzz.
The top image and little one inside the lid were recycled from a greeting card
I had saved. I love to do that, use everyday things and save money and
get something really unique.
Then hubby drilled a hole in front and I attached the hanging pearl
tassel also used for a knob to open the box.
I then went around the whole box with my pretty lace trim attached with
fabritack glue and worked it around the tassel piece hiding the seam
as much as possible.
Finally I tried a new cricut cart called "Flower Shoppe" and created the two
little flowers on this. I really only used the same cut for the second one cause I saved the spiral negative and rolld it up to make the smaller one.
I also embossed a coupe layers of the flower petals and inked with my TH
ink...then glued the layers together and added the pearl and bling centers and a little more finger painted stickles.
I hope Bonnie will like this and be really suprised and blessed when she gets
it, which should be really soon ( maybe tomorrow) :)
Oh yeah I forgot about the little corners things. These I cut out of the Once upon a Time paper pack.
Inside the lid I made this little label and added ruffly edged aqua
ribbon bow, Th glaze, some stickles, half back pearls and roses.
I also used glossy accents over this little angel to add dimension.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to add comments.

Princess Altered Jewelry Box
Hello Ladies,
I just finished making this precious pink jewelry box for my sweet
grand daughter who is having her 5th birthday next week. Besides the outside
there were three "layers" I had to work on. Since she loves princesses
I decided on the princess theme. I started painting the box with a soft pink
acrylic paint then went over it with a creamy off white, leaving some of the pink showing thru. Then I used the TH white crackle paint, glazed around the edges
and finger painted some crystl stickles around the top frame of the top.
Then I got out the Modge Podge and adhered my "Once Upon a Time" paper
to the top, bottom, sides of lid and inside the seperated trays. After that dried
I began the really fun part of adding the embellishment. First I added a gorgeous
line of mini cream bloomers on the bottow (outside) then I also went around the whole box with another line of a soft creamy ribbon ruffle trim.
On the top I used a Prima Pink and white flower and butterfly,
the PRINCESS word and the Princess figure itself.
Then I decided to also embellish the mirror on the inside of the lid.
I used flowers, leaves, a crystal flourish, and a mini frame which I also altered,
changing it from silver to gold tone and addding the pink bling and stickles around the edge. Finally I cut my pic of Eva to fit frame and adhered with my Fabritac glue. I also colored Eva's name with Krylon 18 kt gold leafing pen and edged the seperated areas also with this. I am hoping this will be a really special gift
for my sweet Grand daughter that she will treasure.
Thanks for stopping by,
Kathy

What you can do with a $2 frame from Salvation Army...
Hi,
I recently made this frame with the winnings from my other frame
contest. I started with a $2 frame from sal army that was kinda
beat up. But we're all about the distressed look right? LOL
Anyway, I painted it first with Krylon then painted over that
lightly with creamy acrylic. Then began to build my little fence
out of popsickle sticks etc. I used glossy accents on the scarecrow
graphic and added a prima with some gold sparkle spray and the
other embellies. On the paper I cut the partial, straight part of the frame
with my paper cutter then hand cut around the pumkins so they can
overlap the photo. I am hoping to get a really great pic of my gkids
this fall with all 3 of them in it with some pumkins or something
like that to put inside. Hope you like it!

My first weekend crop
Grandma J on the CMB message board hosted a weekend crop this past weekend
in Galesburg IL. I talked my sweet sister, who is just a beginner crafter, into
joining me for this and we had a blast. We were also to make an altered frame
with our screenname and real name and on Sunday we all voted on our favorite
ones. I was so thrilled and suprised when Janice walked up to me and handed me the prize basket and told me I had won. Woo hoo more goodies to take home. We all donated snacks and door prizes and I think almost all of us got
3 door prizes plus we made little cute or yummy things for each person and
tucked them in a little canvas goodie bag made by Janice. It was amazing to
finally meet face to face so many of the ladies I have been swapping with over the past year and in fact I also had a box swap face to face with heart2hand while there...more amazing craft goodies. Wow! All I can say is this was a wonderful weekend and also I learned and taught some new techniques
to the ladies. Thanks so much Grandma J for all your hard work!
My 1st altered frame, I used allot of my fav things on this, my fav color of blue,
my fav pic of my family when the kids were little, stickles,my fav scripture verse, (1 Cor:13) some of my fav embellies like the dress form, butterfly, lace and pearls. Heartfelt thanks to all who voted for me and for stopping by.

Fall box swap
I just finished making this gorgeous fall box for my partner,
Tiffany, on the CMB. I love the way it turned out with the sparkly
leaves, prima flower and butterfly, ribbon, netting from websters pages
etc. First I stianed the whole thing with a butternut stain then added
a 2nd coat with a varnish inside and out. On the ends I spray
painted with gold spray paint. Then I began making the layers
working the corners/edges etc with Th inks etc and finally added the
Once Upon a Time paper and embellishments. On the front is a T
that I both painted 2 tone and also glossed the front and added the
decorative key.

Challenge card for the CMB
Hello ladies,
Today I worked on a challenge card for the CMB June Bug grp
We were to use purple, a shaped card (not square or rectangle)
and ribbon. My dd has a bday coming up so I thought I could
make her card now and use it for this challenge. I used the
Wild card cricut cart for the card and curvey verses for my
stamped sentiment. I wove the ribbon around the outer heart
and tied it in a double bow, then added the sweet cream colored
rosebud trim. I also finished the inside and made a matching
envie, because I will be mailing this to her soon. Tell me what
you think of it! Kathy

TH dress form tag with charm "dancer theme"
I made this for the swap at the CMB, I was going for the ballerina
look with it. I used numerous TH products including Crackle paint
glaze ( on dress form) Several TH inks etc. I made her Tu tu with
4 layers of pink netting, some sweet pink trim and a ribbon rosette
at the waist. I used a "Bloomers flower" from Websters Pages
on the corner and adhesive backed half pearls as well. You can't dance
without music so I used the music note paper as a background.
This was also my 1st time trying a shrinky dink, I made Ballerina Tilda
and colored her with stickles and alcohol ink.

Summer pin cushion swap and stick pins
I joined a summer pin cushion swap at the cmb, we were to use something
other than a tea cup and have a summer/beach theme. Also we were to make
4 stick pins for our partner. This is what I came up with...my container is brass
and I used a gorgeous blue satin cover for the pin cushion. Along the edges are
tiny sea shells and at the end a profusion of sea shells, rocks, pearls, a button,
and flowers. I also made a fishnet off the side with a darling glass sea horse charm hanging from it. I love the way this turned out, hope you will too!
